Unfortunately, long time member Jim McKweon recently passed away. Jim was a Navy and police veteran with a lifelong passion for radio. He was always helpful and active in our community. He will be missed dearly by his friends in WARREA.
The WARREA breakfast meeting is held at 9:00 AM on the third Sunday of every month at Country Waffles, 2300 Athens Ave.
Visitors and non-hams are always welcome.
Association Call Sign: KE6CHO
Echolink Node: KE6CHO-R #390402
This Association is a group of amateur radio operators who promote all aspects of amateur radio technology. We are a family oriented organization. Both husbands and wives can be heard on our repeater as well as at the membership meetings. It is not limited to the parents as we also enjoy our children involved with the club as well. Every aspect of amateur radio can be found practiced by some member of the Western Amateur Radio Repeater & Echolink Association such as ATV, CW, SSB, PSK31, packet, contesting, QRP, RTTY, or satellite just to name a few.
Our 145.110 repeater site is hosted thanks to Com-Pair Services.
All of the repeaters listed are linked together by RF and Echolink.
